Post Jobs

Personal Attendant – GSU Student

Part Time

Ellie Potts

Hi! My name is Ellie Potts.

I am presently enrolled at Georgia State University in the Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling graduate program. I am looking for several energetic, hardworking people to cover various shifts throughout the day and night. I live in an apartment in downtown Atlanta near the university. I have cerebral palsy and am in a motorized wheelchair full time.

An attendant will be required to perform daily living skills for me from assisting with bathroom, shower, getting ready for the day, and helping at meal times. There is lifting involved each day as I am unable to transfer myself independently. Also, I will need help with school activities throughout the day, as well as continuing to assist with bathroom breaks and bedtime routines.

There are day shifts and night shifts available, or a combination of both, as well as weekends. Once we interview, we can determine which times work best for each of us and around everyone’s schedules.
I need people who are high energy, strong and not afraid of hard work. People who are creative, love kids and dogs (I have a service dog that will need to be cared for as well), enjoys laughter and music, but most of all can be my arms and legs so that I can offer my absolute best to the program which I have worked so hard to become a part of.

If you are interested, please contact me ASAP at 423-598-1478 or you can email me at Salary and hours will be discussed during interview.

Thank you. I look forward to hearing from you.
